Trinity and Granton sit right along the coast next to our Leith base, giving us one of our fastest response times anywhere we cover. Trinity is known for its substantial Victorian and Edwardian villas — many now divided into flats — with correspondingly older plumbing, hot water cylinders and heating systems. Granton has seen major waterfront regeneration, with new-build flats around Granton Harbour sitting alongside older harbourside buildings and 1930s housing further inland.
We see a lot of century-old cast iron pipework and corroded stopcocks in Trinity's older villas, while Granton's newer builds tend to bring modern combi boiler faults and pressurised system issues instead. Coastal salt-air exposure also means we see faster external pipe and tap corrosion here than further inland.
